šŸ Fall Knitting Coming Soon!

You may have noticed that I haven’t had a lot of live, virtual classes on my schedule this summer, and that was by design. After working SO MUCH last summer in preparation for our move, I was feeling a little burned out and a little uninspired. I wanted to relax, and spend time with Shane after he stopped working in July, and have a little bit of a summer.

I also made myself get stricter about cancelling under selling classes! I HATE cancelling classes, but I tried a couple things this summer that didn’t work, and I cancelled them! No one was mad. It was great!

Unfortunately the taking time off and relaxing thing didn’t really happen - I just filled my non teaching time with other work. See: Chibeck, Rhinebeck, more retreats launch next week, Sweater Knitting Library rebrand, I started working for Cashmerette weirdly, I filmed a class for a knitting summit in October, etc etc.

I’m hoping the longer I live in Europe the better I’m going to get at actually relaxing!

BUT after a month in the US in October I’ll be back at it with a very full live, virtual class schedule and I wanted to tell you all about it!

Registration will open to LauraAllyson.Party members on Monday, September 7th and open widely on Tuesday, September 8th. All of these classes will be weekend classes starting the weekend of November 7th, and I’ve got an overflow spot on Monday lunchtime for whatever is most popular!

Alright let’s dit into it!

Returning Favorites

Frosty Petal Club

We’ll be diving into both the Frosty Lines and the Honey Petal Cardigan patterns recently released by Andrea Mowry! Knit and fully customize these cozy top down striped cardigan sweaters with me!

I haven’t taught Carbeth since January 2024, and I miss it! It’s such a great sweater and a fun knit, and I kinda want another one! I also want to teach this one again before officially retiring it and turning it into an on demand class.

The perfect fall sweater?! Rosie will be back, by demand, because this pattern is crazy!

Design Your Own Fair Isle Sweater!

My design your own classes are always a harder sell than my classes with a standard pattern, but I’m going to try to get another session of Design Your Own Fair Isle Sweater going! It’s an amazing class, if I do say so myself, and I’m DETERMINED to make people sign up for this! haha DO IT!!!

New Classes!

I’ve got a new yoke sweater worksheet I want to debut, and I picked this absolute smoke show from Sari Nordlund! And yea, we’ll fix the neckline.

Have I really looked to see if this Club makes sense? Not really. Am I worried? No!

And that’s the plan! I’ve got a little spot for a hat saved for December, and I’m planning in a fun little other accessory class for December, too - we’ll see where that lands!

And whichever of these sweaters is most popular I’ll open up a Monday lunchtime second session.

So what do you think?! Which of these sweaters is going to be your next knit?!

Mark your calendars, set your alarms, and get your finances in order! Again, registration will open to LauraAllyson.Party members on Monday, September 7th and open widely on Tuesday, September 8th. All of these classes will be weekend classes starting the weekend of November 7th.

Have a great weekend, friends!
