Registration Now Open to Direct Your Own Doodle Vest!
Starting in March Laura and I will be teaching another class together! This time we’ve got a fun spin on the doodle sweater we’ve been teaching variations of for a while now - DIRECT Your Own Doodle Sweater VEST!
We are taking our favorite show/movie or other inspiration and turning it into a sweater vest! This class will have a planning class in about a month on March 3rd to help you learn to make a mood board, and then we’ll be using that mood board to make your sweater plan, purchase yarn, and design your own doodles if Pacific Knit Co hasn’t designed all of your perfect doodles yet to complete your vision!

Learn to make a mood board, use that mood board to make your sweater plan, purchase yarn, and direct your own bottom up pullover or cardigan vest!
WHEN? Planning class on Tuesday, March 3rd, then Six Saturdays from 11-12:30pm CT!
March 3rd, 6:30-8pm CT: Mood Board Making Class!
March 29: Mood board check in / yarn class / swatching / doodling!
April 5: Mathing and CO
April 12: Colorwork body planning
May 10: Armhole and neckline steeks and planning the top of the vest
May 17: Finish up the top of the vest!
May 31: Steeking, neckline / button bands
We’ll learn:
Making a mood board to pull inspiration, colors, and doodles!
Creating your own specific doodles as needed
Gauge and sizing
Designing a bottom up sweater vest from scratch with your measurements and gauge!
Adding a steek panel to make a cardigan (optional!)
Design your own all over color work
Reinforcing and cutting open your steek panels
Picking up stitches for the neckline and button bands
Custom armhole sizing
Custom body shape and length
Perfect neckline shaping
Yarn: Any yarn weight will work for this class as we’ll be designing it based on your gauge!
Laura will be taking the lead with the knitting on this one because she wants to make her Last Crusade vest! What better time to design a vest around fighting nazis?!
