👏 New! Black Sheep Sweater Vest Class!
This is me, trying to get it up to sell a black sheep sweater vest class after reading the House just passed that fucking domestic agenda bill that will CERTAINLY lead to mass suffering and death, and while Palestinians are being starved to death.
I’m really sad. Very little is actionable so I stay really sad and helpless! It’s horrible.
What you’ll learn in this class:
Using your gauge and measurements to create a perfectly fitting sweater
Ladder Back Jacquard colorwork
Duplicate stitch
Adding steek panels for the armholes of a sweater exactly where you need them
Steeking!
Picking up stitches for the ribbing
Custom neckline shaping
Shaping the armholes to create perfect vest shoulder width
Supplies (not included in the cost of the class):
Yarn and needles to create the sweater for your desired size. You’ll be sent a yardage estimate chart as part of your welcome packet!
BUT PLEASE NOTE! We’ll make any yarn work for this sweater because we’re redesigning it based on your desired sweater size and gauge!
Prerequisite: Students are comfortable with knitting and purling
Class Schedule: All classes are 6:30-8pm CT unless otherwise noted
Wednesday June 25 6-6:30pm CT: Bonus yarn planning class!*
Wednesday July 16: Swatching & gauge talk!
Wednesday July 23: Cast on and ribbing
Wednesday August 6: Start the body!
Wednesday August 13-20: BREAK WEEKS so you have plenty of time to knit your sweater vest body
Wednesday August 27: Add steek panels for the armholes / V neck, and armhole & V neck shaping
Wednesday September 3: Another break week!
Wednesday September 10: Neckline planning for crew neck option
Wednesday September 17: Cutting open your steek panels and duplicate stitching
Wednesday September 24: Finishing! Picking up stitches for the armhole and neckline edges
Class fee of $170 doesn’t include materials or the pattern.
