WIPs: Comebackigan, Twinkle, and a Titanic Start!
Hey, it’s THE RETURN of “it’s WIP day!”
The last WIP Day I had was on October 23rd! But generally every other Thursday I take a look at what my WIP pile looked like 2 weeks ago, and what it looks like today!
This is my WIP pile 2 weeks ago - a great start on my Comebackigan, a little start on my Twinkle, and look like 2/3 of a sock.
And here is what it looks like today on my different wood floors!
My Comebackigan is ready for the button band! Home stretch!
My Twinkle is on hold until my CCs get to me.
I’ve got 1.1 socks!
And I’ve got a tiny start to my Direct Your Own Doodle Titanic Sweater!
Yes, I did say Direct Your Own Doodle Titanic Sweater and YES the first doodle is amazing!
UNFORTUNATELY this project is also on hold until I get my yarn delivered. It really is such a shame because all I want to be doing is Titanic doodling!
I’m really excited about this Comebackigan, too! I finished the decreases & the bottom ribbing. It will be so amazing to get my boxes because I’ve got so many demos to do in my class this weekend and I need my hand cam holder!
Button band - here I come! I think that is going to be my Thanksgiving burden! haha
And a little bonus WIP - what my mystery stitch along from Satsuma Street looked like 2 weeks ago!
Not a whole lot of progress but I did finish that damn tree!
With a lot of my knitting projects on hold waiting for my boxes to arrive, this is going to be my go to project! Can’t wait to fill in more of these cute details and get more in the holiday spirit.
I’ve been doing this thing where I post a pic from this spot every time I do a little update, so here is my living room pic! Cat Tree (barf!), cat scratching thing around the pillar, and yes, NO BOXES!
BUT! I feel like things are moving forward. I can see that the customs documents were accepted yesterday and I think right now I’m just waiting on a customs bill. Once paid maybe they’ll be released?! It’s nice to at least see some progress on it! I need my yarn!
ALSO Shane has a surgery date! January 8th. We are just waiting on some answers on his back issues from the specialist he saw on Tuesday before planning his trip here, but we are hoping he’ll fly out on December 5th!
AND I’m still doing great! I feel a little trapped in the apartment - between making sure Royal knows that when I leave I’m coming back and the deliveries coming in from Ikea and the pet story, I haven’t been leaving much! I make one outing a day - run to the grocery store, go for a walk, run to the store, of varying lengths, but I haven’t been gone for more than an hour so I know Royal isn’t freaking out. He really is doing great though so I’m hoping my deliveries come early today so I can stretch it to a 90 minute outing! Wish me luck!
