👏 Vest No 8 & Pressed Flowers FOs!
Hey, it’s WIP day!
Every other Thursday I take a look at what my WIP pile looked like two weeks ago and what it looks like today!
This is what my WIP pile looked like 2 weeks ago! Hardly a pile! Just exclusively working on my Vest No 8.
And here is what it looks like today!
Well - KIND OF!
That is a Pressed Flowers FO, but it never made it on the official WIP pile so I wanted to highlight it! haha
And my REAL WIP right now is my Røllike Kerchief that I’m really loving the look of! Very sweet! I’m using a ball of Rowan Felted Tweed, which is very easy to get here!
I’m prepping for a very Jaunty June! I’m planning on doing 3 3 part classes for small kerchief style scarves each highlighting a different knitting technique - Pressed Flowers (mosaic!), Rollike (lace!), and Nougat (intarsia! 🤮) - classes open for registration May 5th!
I mean, isn’t it jaunty?! I used Kelbourne Woolens Germantown DK for this and it knit up so quickly! I can’t wait to teach it this June!
This one has been a fun little knit, too! I haven’t done anything with lace in it for ages. It’s also going to be very jaunty!
But yes, you absolutely could say that I buried the lead! I finished my Vest No 8 and how cute is this cutie?! I just love it. I think I’ll get a ton of wear out of it! Fits like a dream and really elevates whatever is under it. I think I get vests now, guys!
Again, I used Kelbourne Woolens Cricket held with Harmony to get this fantastic fabric. I was worried it would be too hot, with the mohair, but I think because it’s so chill and isn’t a lot of knitting, it feels nice! But I’ll wear it a bunch more and report back.
This little cabled cutie will look great over all your tops this fall! I’ll help you through Vest No. 8 from My Favorite Things in this 7 part class.
There are 5 spots left in my live class and I’ve opened recordings only registration if you are #influenced!
So yesterday was a BIG DAY! You got TWO emails from me, so if you missed it I wanted to highlight that I launched my next On Demand class, Ondawa! You can learn more about it here.
We also opened registration for our fall retreats! And I wanted to put in a retreat update because things are filling fast!
🎃 Harvest Dream Retreat → only 2 spots left
🧵 Garment Sewing Weekend → nearly half full
If you’ve been thinking about joining us this fall, this is your moment to grab a spot before things get really limited.
Ok! So I’ve had a little bit of a rough week this week - I got some kind of stomach bug/food poisoning/maybe migraine?! thing Monday night OF COURSE! Such bad timing! I’m feeling better today but it was a rough 48 hrs! Especially because I was so busy launching Ondawa, starting Colette Class, and was in charge of launching the retreats. I’m POOPED (in more ways than one 😭) I’m going to go take it easy! But thanks for reading, registering for a retreat, signing up for Ondawa, or just not making my fragile existence harder at all this week! Have a great weekend!
