🚢 Direct Your Own Doodle Sweater Class: Register Now!
Starting in October Laura and I will be teaching another class together! This time we’ve got a fun spin on the doodle sweater we’ve been teaching variations of for a while now - DIRECT Your Own Doodle Sweater!
We are taking our favorite show/movie or other inspiration and turning it into a sweater! This class will have two planning classes, one to learn to make a mood board, and another to use that mood board to make your sweater plan, purchase yarn, and design your own doodles if Pacific Knit Co hasn’t designed all of your perfect doodles yet! That is hard to imagine, but sometimes you need a lounging Jeff Goldblum doodle, right?!

Learn to make a mood board, use that mood board to make your sweater plan, purchase yarn, and direct your own top down yoke pullover or cardigan!
WHEN? Seven Saturdays from 10-11:30am CT!
Oct 11: Mood Board Making Class!
Oct 25: Mood board check in / yarn class / swatching / doodling!
Nov 15: CO and yoke planning
Nov 22: Yoke check in
Dec 6: Finish yoke! Separate sleeves & plan body
Dec 13: Plan sleeves / steek (optional!)
Dec 20: Neckline / button bands
We’ll also learn:
Gauge and sizing
Designing a top down yoke sweater from scratch with your measurements and gauge!
Adding a steek panel to make a cardigan (optional!)
When to add back neck short rows
Design your own all over color work or just color work yoke sweater
Reinforcing and cutting open your steek panels (optional!)
Picking up stitches for the neckline and button bands
Custom sleeve sizing
Custom body shape and length
Perfect yoke depth
Yarn: Any yarn weight will work for this class as we’ll be designing it based on your gauge!
ME?! Oh I’ll be designing a Titanic sweater! lol
I have a dream of adjusting this Ferry Boat doodle from the Travel Doodle Pack to make little Titanics and iceberg covered sleeves!
I can see it! Pointier front and back, taller smoke stacks!
The rest of the sweater and the colors and everything I’m not sure about yet - I’ve got to wait until Laura teaches me to make a mood board in the first class!
My mood board is going to be sick, though! And I’ll probably want to print it and tape it to my wall like I did with everything to do with Titanic in 1997!
